Recorded in the wee hours of 1.9.2011, this mix was inspired by a little breaks night I played at recently called Bounce in San Francisco. It was a fun little gig made all the sweeter by the slew of amazing tracks I was able to hunt down specially for this night and as I played along, I knew I just had to capture this stuff in a recording. So here you go with a new mix; a wild, psy-influenced, acid-tinged and often relentless ride through the world of breaks and a little tech-house thrown in to help with the breathing. Enjoy and by all means, share with your friends!

After years of wanting, I FINALLY got my logo permanently emblazoned on my body.

People have asked what it really represented & here’s a quick breakdown:

The circular = i’m a dj & started with vinyl, but thought something more abstract would represent better than a round ‘record’
The “wings” = well i’m dragn’fly (sort of …like the bug, but not)… it’s all about symbolizm
The electrical wave down the middle = the connection between me & the crowds I play for… ; )

It’s been a LONG time coming, but the newest version of DJDragnfly.com is FINALLY up & ready for you to take advantage of ! Being a major upgrade, there are still some things to be hammered out & refined (such as links to flyers for all events past & present), but all-in-all I think the new features are an improvement in function. I do love the old site & while it’s currently inactive, I’m hoping it can be revamped & resurrected on some level to serve as an archive for things spanning further into the past decade.

Here are some of new features of DJDragnfly.com v3.0:

- A blog, where from time-to-time I’ll post up more candid news or thoughts that feel the need to get out my head or heart.
- A more streamlined Imagery section that includes live Video clips as well as event Photos.
- A more tech-friendly Mixes section that features streamable mixes – that even work on the IPHONE!!!
- A more user-friendly & detailed Event section from which you can browse (via Drop Down menus) both Upcoming Events (by month) & Past Events (by year). There’s even direct links to presale tickets for those events who are selling them.

Just remember, this site is for you, so if YOU come up with any suggestions or comments whilst browsing around, feel free to share them with me!
